The traditional dress, the velvet Traje of Berberisca (Ksuah el K’bira in Arabic), is made of five parts: A wraparound skirt that is very flared, a jacket, a breastplate; a multi-colored braided sash, and lace sleeves. The headdress (or pearled crown) and veil come to complete the whole. Characterized by its thick embroidery, the Henna dress uses golden-colored thread of the highest quality, with all the stitching being done by hand. For durability the velvet is made from 100% cotton, and the fabric comes in a range of attractive colors such as burgundy, green, blue, black, violet, etc. The Henna dress can be adjusted to any size and is dry cleanable.
